Congratulations to our boys’ footballers who battled their way through the indoor Cumann na mBunscol heats earlier today in Healy Park Hall, Omagh! Right from the start, they faced tough opposition in the group stages against Eskra and Aghyaran, but with some superb football and real determination, they topped the group in style. Momentum was building, and in the semi-final, they came up against a strong Christ the King, Omagh side. Digging deep, they produced another brilliant performance to book their place in the final - a rematch with the boys from St. Patrick’s PS, Eskra. What a final it was! Normal time, extra time, and even a golden goal period were needed to separate the two teams. Every single one of our lads gave absolutely everything, and when the moment came, they grabbed it! With victory secured, we now look forward to the county final stages in MUSA, Cookstown on Tuesday 11th March.
A huge thank you to Master Barry Tierney from Christ the King for coordinating the day, to St. Enda’s, Omagh for hosting and their hospitality, to Dermot Moxon for refereeing the games superbly, and to all the parents who came along to cheer the boys on.
